Large Fuel Spill On I 65

On March 20th our Emergency Spill Response Team responded to a reported large fuel spill in the median of I 65. The tow company on scene stated they had about 3 inches of diesel fuel in the median where a truck went through the guard rail. Our crews assisted with containing the spill and pumping off the small amount of diesel still in the fuel tanks. Unfortunately, the accident happened in the early morning about 2 am. We were notified at 6 am and were on scene minutes later but the fuel had been absorbed into the ground. We secured the site until we can get proper permits and traffic control to excavate and remediate the site. Call us for all your Hazmat and Emergency Response Needs!
