Beef Grease Make For a Slick Situation

On March 20, our Emergency Spill Response Team was requested to a spill of Beef Tallow (beef grease) at a facility. Our crew arrived to find approximately 400 gallons of grease in a loading dock. We were asked to make the trailer safe for travel as it had a broken valve, and then work on cleaning up the product. Our crew used numerous techniques and absorbents to make the area safe to operate in and quickly clean up the mess with minimal disruption to the facility and staff.
