100-Gallon Diesel Spill Cleanup in Summertown Creek | Enviro Medics Hazmat Team

On December 10, the Enviro Medics Emergency Spill Response Team was dispatched to a diesel spill in Summertown, Tennessee after a truck suffered a mechanical failure that ruptured its saddle tank. The semi-truck released approximately 100 gallons of diesel fuel, much of which migrated directly into a nearby creek, creating an urgent environmental threat.

The local fire department responded quickly and initiated initial containment to slow the spread of fuel across the waterway. Their fast action helped stabilize the scene until our specialized hazmat team arrived with the proper equipment and capabilities to fully remediate the incident.

Once on site, the Enviro Medics crew deployed waterway containment systems, absorbents, and targeted remediation techniques to:

  • Stop the migration of diesel downstream

  • Protect livestock and wildlife that rely on the creek

  • Remove contaminated water and soil

  • Restore the area to safe, pre-incident conditions

Our swift, coordinated response ensured the creek and surrounding environment were protected from further contamination.

Enviro Medics LLC provides rapid, compliant waterway spill cleanup, diesel spill remediation, and hazardous materials response across Tennessee, Alabama, and Kentucky. Whether the incident occurs on a highway, farm, or rural creek, our team is equipped to handle it.
