Milk Tanker Rollover Response in Wartrace, Tennessee

Enviro Medics recently responded to a milk tanker rollover in Wartrace, Tennessee, to assist with environmental protection and incident recovery operations.

Upon arrival, crews assessed the scene, identified active leaks, and implemented measures to minimize environmental impacts while supporting the overall recovery effort. Approximately 20 gallons of milk and 50 gallons of diesel fuel were released as a result of the incident.

Although milk is considered a non-hazardous product, releases of organic materials can create environmental concerns if allowed to enter waterways, drainage systems, or sensitive areas. Fuel releases present additional concerns due to their potential impact on soil and surface water.

Our team worked closely with recovery personnel to secure leaks, contain released materials, and support the safe recovery of the overturned tanker. By addressing environmental concerns early in the operation, responders were able to reduce the risk of contamination and help facilitate a safer recovery process.
