RV Crash Shuts Down I65
On April 17 our Emergency Spill Response Team was requested to Interstate 65 in Franklin for an RV that crashed. During the crash the black water tank (sewage tank) ruptured, and the propane tank was damaged and leaking. Our team was requested because of our extensive propane experience and the ability to treat the sewage and clean it up properly. Our team worked alongside the fire department to stop the propane leak and eventually flare the tank to make it safe. Our team was requested several hours into the incident but made quick work of the incident. The roadway was shut down for approximately 1 hour to make the scene safe. Our team was able to handle all risks and hazards quickly and efficiently.
