Truck Leaves Road Crashing Into Tree

On May 18, our Emergency Spill Response Team responded to a tractor trailer accident where the truck left the roadway hitting a tree in front of residence. Our crews were on site within 30 minutes of being called. We worked alongside of the tow company and EMA to contain the fuel and leaking fluids from the vehicle. Its estimated that 180 gallons of fuel was released from the saddle tanks when it hit the tree. Our crews remained on scene for 18 hours excavating the contaminated soil to save the tree directly effected. This was a larger clean up that took several days. The homeowner loved the outcome after clean up efforts were completed. Call us for all your hazmat and spill response needs.
