Interstate 65 Closed In Marshall County

On August 24, 2023 Enviro Medics was requested to Interstate 65 south at mile marker 27.2 in Marshall County TN for a semi that went off the road through a guardrail. The caller initially reported a 50 gallon fuel leak. Upon arrival we found very little fuel remaining in the truck being both saddle tanks were ruptured. Marshall Couty Fire Department and Office of Emergency Managment reduced the impact of the spill with quick thinking and absorbing the fuel before it made it to the creek. Crews were able to make quick work of the scene and open the highway in a few hours.
